Roulette Township is located in Potter County. It is a second class township governed by a three man Board of Supervisors. The Township was confirmed by Court on January 29, 1816, it was given the official name of Roulet, in the honor of John S. Roulet, who, with John Keating, owned the land. When a post office was established in the village, someone in Washington, DC made the mistake of spelling it Roulette. Records of Potter County; The National Archives and Records Service, Washington, DC: Historical Society of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia PA, all show the official name as Roulet. The Township maintains over 28 Miles of roads. The population from the 2021 Census is 1,113.
